The only certainty is that nothing is certain.

My, how the semesters go by.

It seems like I should still be a freshman, even though, apparently, I’m a junior. Its kind of unfair. For a lot of students, college is that final, last attempt at cleaning the slate and starting anew, and if they’ve had an awful high school career, then college becomes the best 4 years of their lives. Of course, time plays its part and screws around with life, and by the time you’re given a moment to think, you’re a junior, thinking back on all the memories that happened in the two years that have, somehow, managed to slip through your clutched fingers. Suddenly, staying an extra couple of semesters isn’t so bad, until you realize that, at 23, you turn into that creepy old guy who still attends classes.
So basically, in the space of 4 or 5 years, its really necessary to do everything you can, because at the end, you don’t want to regret a thing.

But I’m not finished with anything yet; I’ve still another 6 semesters here. What I do know is that holding back, though safe, and sometimes the wise decision, won’t let you grow from experience, and every experience has a lesson, sometimes hard, and sometimes easy, but worth it all the same.

Europe for the Week

For all of those people who actually read this blog, a.k.a. my illustration professor and the few REALLY dedicated illustration students, I will be flying out to Dublin, Ireland tomorrow at 7 PM, for the time of my life. I will be meeting my girlfriend in the airport, reconnecting with her, and then visiting some of the most wondrous landmarks across Europe. By the end of the week, I will have been able to cross Stonehenge and the Parthenon off my list of things to see before I die. I hope to update this page when I can, but can’t really promise anything, because there will only be several occasions when I am able to use the internet while abroad. I started a flickr account, but can’t remember the name of it right now. Hopefully pictures will be uploaded there. There will be a lot of them.
